TBH when you go to the creche and talk to the other githyanki there, you realise that Lae'zel is actually pretty pleasant and open minded by their standards 🤣

When you become friends with her her opening line for conversation changes from "speak" to "I am listening" 🥺

i love when you romance her and she goes from “speak” to “talk to me, im listening” it’s nice to see small growth from her i love this game so much

She's my favorite companion to sass. "Say please!" "Never!"

And after you crack that hard shell of hers, you get an incredibly loyal friend who would literally move mountains for you. I love Bae’zel and will die on this hill defending her.

i love the "source of my bruises" change to "source of my joy" when romancing her

She's really fleshed out and you can feel it with her romance. There's a violent fight between her beliefs and her feelings, and it feels really douchy to make her stay with you instead of following her new leader if you've gone this route

I romanced Lae'zel. She literally told my character that I was the the thing that made her see color in the world. It was such a great set of dialog when she finally agreed to be a complete couple. And, just so you know, Lae'zel expects absolute commitment, and she deserves it.

Lae'zel is SO LOYAL, that when she thought the party was turning, she offered you first dibs at death. She decided to bear the burden, because that's how hard she is. Then the rest of the party, then HERSELF. She's a real one.

She has one of the illest lines in the whole game, after she finds out that Vlaakith is using all gith as Astral food to fuel godhood, "I did not sin against her, she has sinned against me."

"What's the point of a heart of stone, if only for it to shatter." Her story is worth it when you start to see her true character.

In French, Crèche means nursery, so everytime she says "we need to find the crèche" it feels like she wants to go play with a firefighter truck toy.

Also, she's an abrasive person by nature, but that doesn't make her "simple" or "mean". There is a difference between "good" and "nice", and people come in all levels of niceness, and that doesn't make prickly people any less capable of true heroism or kindness.

literally from the first moment she's trying to help you avoid the worst death she knows and she sticks around even when youre dragging your feet and exploring other options. I also really appreciate just how forthcoming and honest she is in a party full of secrets lmao. shes such a misunderstood character

They wrote a Githyanki and did her justice. Most interesting origin character, I would argue the best arc to boot. Plus her voice actress was outstanding.

Lae'zel might be mean by our standards, but she is incredibly patient and kind by Gith standards. She lets you talk her out of killing the whole party when she thinks you're all about to turn into illithid! Shadowheart can hold a knife to her throat at one point, and she never tries to get revenge! If the Gith were Catholic they'd make her a damn Saint.

I love when she's describing the process of becoming a mindflayer and you're confident about finding a cure rather than fearful and she approves. It really feels like telling her "we're going to be okay"

the second you meet Lae'zel she wants to help cure people she randomly just meets. she's a good girl

And when you romance her, she is absolutely adorable. She breaks her iron walls down and sincerely asks for affection. Best girl❤

She calms down if you play a fellow githyanki, she is very kind and protective almost like an older sister at first… quite amazing. She even says that she will give praise of you to vlaakith once she ascends pretty early on in the game… which is extremely generous for gith.
