Does living in the cotswolds give ppl the same feeling as carrying a hernes bag?
The Cotswolds is beautiful..but its a victim of its own beauty..! Its full of tourists..but i loved living there still i wanted a bigger garden so we moved to the Malverns!! We still dip down into Broadway but i'm glad i've got my acre garden!!😂
Lydia, in my opinion you should stay where you are and enjoy your coastal cottage as a retreat. In time, as a couple ,you will determine where your interests lie.

Lydia sweetheart I understand the Cotswolds is a lovely place and understand why you would consider moving there however I have got to say your home is stunning absolutely stunning. And with the new holiday cottage and remodelling your present home I think you would be taking on far too much for you to handle. Please think long and hard before you make a decision 👍x

I completely understand why you would want somewhere smaller, and I can see you with somewhere like a small holding with stables and fields for your animals. We did it, we moved to a smaller property, but gained 14 acres and outbuildings, we are in the peak district and we love it. The best part of the smaller house is the cleaning - and the actual down sizing and the getting rid of all that extra clutter that we didn't need or want. Best thing we ever did. Our nearest neighbour is 4 fields in the distance - its great! Our dogs run freely on our own fields and our son has a bike track we built for him that he and his friends use, they are safe and happy and in the barn they have a PlayStation and a pool table and a fridge stocked with pop and an old sofa - safe but independent they love it. I wouldn't go back to living in a big house over this ever, its just sheer joy and I love it. Whatever you decide, I will love watching the journey xxx
If I may suggest something, when filming while walking or showing a room, please slow the "swing" of your camera because it gets quite dizzy when it's too fast...for your older viewers LOL - Thank You

The older we get the quiet place we choose for living because fast and loud big city life getting so stressful. I grew in rural part in little town with a beautiful green nature , people looks more healthy because fresh air, good organic food and slow living....
From a family of jewelers: lab grown diamonds are not real diamonds, no matter how much they say it is. It is man-made (in a lab). There are enough ways to buy ethically sourced real diamonds!
This was a lovely vlog. I have never been to the Cotswolds but I dream to go one day. To be honest though; my main takeaways from this vlog are: just order the mayonnaise if it’s what you want, live wherever sets your heart on fire and care less about the postcode connotations, and love your ‘cheap furniture’ as much as your antiques because it all contributes to the tapestry of you and the home that you worked so hard for. Don’t fall into the trap of believing that if something is not expensive it is not worth having. ❤️

Burton -on- the water is a prime example of somewhere destroyed by tourism, all of the shops are either coffee shops or gift shops. Every weekend it is overrun with 1000's of tourists

As someone born and raised in a small village in Gloucestershire the use of “The Cotswolds” is so odd to me. It’s turned into some kind of pretentious label that’s wearing thin. The area covers 5 different counties and each one offers something different. Why not say the county you’re going to? If you love rural England there are plenty of areas just as beautiful where you’ll get far more for your money and the same lifestyle.
The jewelry is still very expensive unless you are blessed with a lot of disposable income.
