19:41 happy to answer “who is paying for all that?!”: the brands are donating the product themselves. It’s a tax write-off as a marketing expense, and from a marketing standpoint, can have higher ROI than ads, since this event will get a lot of coverage from influencers and creators like yourself 😊
I think this extreme gifting is a way of selling tickets for next year. And next year will probably have way less and be more expensive tickets.
I think adult treat or treating was a perfect summary. I don’t even wear makeup fr but I would be geeked lol
As a brokie that has no idea what im doing when it comes to skincare & makeup this would be a surreal experience for me. I hope to experience this one day 😂❤
Attendees had to pay pay $50 for the extra suitcase :)
I think we all need to keep in mind a lot of these attendees paid for a ticket. A lot of online influencers get paid to promote the FREE PRODUCTS they receive and also get PAID OR are accommodated to go on brand trips TO then RECEIVE MORE FREE PRODUCTS. Let normal people and/or micro influencers enjoy being spoiled too! I think it’s great that they gave away so many high quality full sized products!
They really should have just sold the tickets to regular people. This would have been absolutely worth the expense of going. But yeah the average influencer isn’t going to be really fazed by all that product. The average consumer is going to keep and use what they like, gift a lot to their family and friends and donate the rest. And it would be a once in a lifetime experience not a monthly or even annual experience.
Nah this is nice. I really like the fact that these people seemed genuinely grateful and happy, good for them. I’m sure they’ll be used, gifted or donated. Those Maybelline mascaras would last me around 8-10 months and they’re good for a lot longer if unopened at all.
Omg I’m so jealous!!!! I would not waste any! You’re right, donate to women’s shelters, Xmas gifts, birthday presents!!! 😭😭😭 So jealous!
I dunno, it’s nice to hear of an event that was finally worth the money. We keep hearing about all these events that people shill out a bunch of money for and they end up being terrible so I it’s nice to hear of one that actually delivered on what they promised. I also feel like this is kind of a “once in a lifetime” type of experience for most people, including myself, so I understand again that it’s a lot of stuff but also just because it’s a lot of products doesn’t automatically mean it’s all automatically going to be wasted. Sometimes it just feels like people are going to complain no matter what, either it’s not enough or its too much 🤷🏻♀️
I'm not going to lie, i would love this. I'd be so excited getting all these free gifts, dopamine hits all day 😅
Apparently tix were $160 and a $5 fee, which is understandable why people went crazy
I think this is kinda amazing for the regular peeps 🎉
The Skyfire palette is so gorgeous!! Love the look you created with it 🤩
It's much better than seeing all that product in dumpsters! Good for everyone who attended, I'd do the same, gifting and donating for sure. I work for re-entry/recovery, so the excess I would absolutely donate for the members who come through our program! Sharing is caring after all! Very cool! 💖💅💞💄👑
AS a beauty hoarder, it's a dream come true!
Honestly, I agree with you! If I got a ticket and received all these products Inwoilf be so happy. Like you said, I would give away what I don't use to family members. I am actually happy for those people who got all those free items.
I think this is a good example of greed. People grabbing bags full of stuff, not caring if they'll be of any use, just so they can film themselves unloading this stuff.
I am a huge believer in reducing, reusing and recycling but honestly this event sounds so fun and as someone who loves a good budget and no debt, I would literally be set for life with makeup, skincare and gifts if I went to this haha
I went to Sephoria and got so many products. When I got home I took the products I knew I wanted to try, set them to the side, and filled up multiple bags of products to give out to family/friends. They loved the gifts and that lasted them for a while! Sephoria was so much fun but I knew I wouldn’t use all those products and it made me happy to give out good products to others who would love them! ❤
