TRAIN for me that way I don't get travel sickness. They took our trains away a long time ago and I miss them with all my heart. You get a totally different and calm experience on a train and I love the bumps lol ♥ I miss seasonal food too and the way that we used to look forward to the summer time for the salads and the soups and stews in the winter were so much more flavoursome. Tasmania is only an island off the bottom of Australia but we only really have a three supermarket system and one is the struggling IGA that tries its best to sell local produce and keep prices affordable but you mostly need to have a car to access them which is a great pity for us that can't afford a vehicle but every chance that I get , even when travelling by taxi I will stop and grab at least something from them to help keep them going. Thank you Pasta Gramma for the relationship that you show and the back and forth ♥

closing costs in the USA are more expensive than the cost of an Italian notary!

I love Eva and Harper's onscreen dynamic, Eva has the passion bouncing off the screen, and Harper clearly enjoys her interjections and explanations. They really seem to energize each other, it's really nice to watch

Taking trains in Italy is one of the best ways to see the country. Buses are fine in the States for short trips, but I prefer Italian trains by far.

The last point you spoke on about the everyday mundane, no schedules reminds me of how it was growing up in the 1960s in the USA. Most of our mothers were at home and friends or neighbors would stop by and my mom always had something to give them to eat (pie, cookies, or cake & coffee), no one called they just arrived on your doorstep. Neighbors talking across the fence swapping produce they grew. I miss those days.

OMG everyone here hates buses and traveling by train especially long distance when you have the time is such a treat

Your number 1 - sense of community and willingness to help your friends and neighbours is truly so special and meaningful to me. The world needs more of this. Much love from Victoria Australia

After living in Italy for five years, I learned that if you don't have time for to enjoy a cafe with friends, you need to adjust your priorities! I have brought that perspective back to the USA. It's the best way to live.

I went down to Sicily by train and back up again. I love the trains in Italy, especially in the north. No bus can beat that experience. ❤😊

Seasonality is also amazing for the environment because nothing ever depletes the soil completely. ❤😊

I was recently in Italy and took a bus from Venice to Ravenna. I sat behind the driver and he was looking at videos on his phone, while also talking on the phone the entire trip. We made it safely thank God. I will never ride the bus there again.
