While the crew is having the worst time of their lives, just outside of their window is a guy and a rock vibing in their own space ships.

I think the most horrific part about this premise is the fact that we know from the corporate propaganda that Corinth is *actively sabotaging* Spearing's efforts to restore the Earth and Mars to divert resources to THIS PROJECT. They are draining the Sol system to send endless copies of the Cassiopeia to Tau Ceti, and in doing so are actively accelerating Earth's collapse on the vain, egotistical whims of Williams and a vague promise that the lifeform they are riding the edge of extinction to study might benefit them financially. I love it so much because it gets at exactly the deepest horror of franchises like Alien and Dead Space- that none of this was inevitable, that it all could have been avoided, but now it will happen, and for no other reason than short-term (usually corporate) greed.

I love the implication that in this world they have a text based messaging system that is completely immune to any system failures, has good distance, and never corrupts, and yet they use a DIFFERENT system for audio/video based transmissions. I can't even flame it because it's lowkey realistic they'd have multiple companies and some would be worse, but DAMN.

For the people who did not catch the stream/VOD RT had some comments about the implementation of co-op in this game. So in the previous games made by this dev co-op was actually co-op(kinda ,it was a "shared story" as named by the devs)! So each player got to make choices that would impact the game based on what they saw up to that point in the game (different scenes were presented for each players at points). In this game none of it is here. It is a "pass the controller" type co-op. Meaning you would *literally* give all controll of the game to each other in turns like passing your controller to your annoying brother little Timmy so that he would stop complaining to mom(Up to 5 players mind you). Each player sees the exact same events in the game. This is only for local play but dw, they will in the future bring it to online so you can pay 5 times the game as a group to play 1/5th of the game.

There are SO MANY unrestrained objects on this space flight that I'm stressed by how unconcerned the crew is. They're wandering through hallways in the intro that have giant cargo bundles floating around without any reaction to the possibility of hundreds of pounds of equipment flying around the interior of the ship.

When I was watching this live, I was always looking away during the references to the Curator on screen. I was FULLY convinced Dan was just fucking with us
