If the board isn’t too blind to see it, they should already realize that Arne Slot may have lost the Liverpool dressing room because of his poor interviews and public comments. Most recently, he publicly blamed the defeat on Dominik Szoboszlai slipping, and he previously called Hugo Ekitiké “stupid.” Would you really trust him with another season and spend over £100 million backing him in the transfer market?

Looking at Liverpool's disastrous transfer dealings i understand why Richard Hughes before joining a big club like Liverpool he worked for a mid table team like Bournemouth.

Slot's ability to read the game is very bad and he lacks the ability to inspire the players like Klopp which was evident last season especially whenever Liverpool played in cup competitions so i don't think Slot can turn things around like Klopp did to regain the fans' trust. Edwards and Hughes still believe Slot is talented because of last season's Premier League title win and argue that Liverpool's season has been too turbulent with Jota's death severely impacting the players' morale, leading to an insufficient pre season to compete effectively this season and Liverpool has suffered too many injuries this season with many new signings getting injured and not having enough time to play together so they decided to give Slot another chance next season to rectify the situation but it's highly likely that this will be a mistake, Liverpool's next season will likely be a wasted season similar to Man United's last season or Liverpool's own 2015/16 season.
