Well, this was a surprise. Nvidia has been leading the charge with tech in the graphics space especially with tech like DLSS. AMD has caught up with tech like FSR 4... but they decided for whatever reason, NOT to support their previous GPUs. We knew it could work though, so it left spinning up theories that all looked bad for AMD. HOWEVER, now they decided to go back on that. AMD is bringing FSR 4.1 upscaling to RX 7000 and RX 6000 GPUs! I don't think people care about upscaling, they have to rely on it, because of none existent optimisations.

Begging for blurry A.I upscaling isn't the win you think it is. DLSS ruined optimization and gave studios a copout to be lazy and not learn their own proprietary engines with better graphics optimizations.

Upscaling should be the crutches , it should not be set as bar, where devs are throwing garbage at insane prices instead of working and optimising games and leaving fsr or dlss to do all work

That's because, and I'm only assuming here, because FSR 4/4/1 on Radeon 6000 and 7000 series was a driver initially reserved for PlayStations PSSR 2 for the PS5 Pro (Radeon 6800 GPU equivalent) and they had to wait for licensing and modifications to go through before they can release on the Radeon older generation GPU's ........ I'd bet all my money on it!
I don't know man, I miss the days when RAW rasterized performance was being marketed and discussed...
