When my grandmother died, from being super fkn old but also diabetes, Scientologists tried to sue the hospital on behalf of my family because they claimed she was murdered by her nurse. The "evidence" was that the nurse had once been to therapy and Scientologists believe therapy is about brainwashing. The police themselves reached out to us about this and the case was dropped because no court would take it on without the family actually wanting it. We got hate mail from Scientologists for about three years after that and years later, when I was at university and was elected to the student executive, they called in a fake bomb threat. So yes. It is a cult.

One of the beliefs in scientology is that psychiatry is evil and you shouldn’t take medication for mental illnesses because they are just going to brainwash you. so there should be another rule that you can’t use potions at any point in the run
