I think having Scar’s planet in the background looks even better than if the telescope was pointed directly at it. This way, it looks like there are things to look at in the sky other than whatever the observatory is focusing on

I can definitely see a group of hermits just hanging out on the roof of that observatory one day, chatting away (maybe during a world tour stream or something), and one of the anchors gets right-clicked. Then Scar (and only Scar) dies for comedic effect, because he was on two and a half hearts.
