Tabular method, easy. Took me 2 minutes. This show is crap
Bro wtf is wrong with them, to integrate x²e^(-x) you just need to use differentiation by parts. This is learned in calc 2. You can literally learn this in highschool in AP BC calc. It comes out to -e^(-x)(x²+2x+2)+C btw
nice aim...
He Spits he Scores ‼️WTG Howey 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
He's the only student 😭😭
I'm with Howard 😂😂😂
He's a horrible teacher instead he just brings everyone else down to prove that he's smarter than them that's not how you teach

geepers...this editing and music is HORRIBLE!
Fym ou heyy
Who on the God’s green earth would integrate x^2 * e^-x using Feynman instead of By Parts?
i don't know if fyenman's trick is an american thing or a uni thing or what but is it similar to integrstion by parts?
As a Physics PhD student, Sheldon's math "test" to Howard is actually really deep. To all the people saying "such an easy math problem," let me explain. Sheldon was _not_ testing whether Howard would be able to solve the problem---even a high schooler can evaluate that integral. The real test was whether Howard would suggest integration by parts, which is widely regarded as the inefficient approach to such problems (especially the tabular approach, which is considered to be a lowly method used only by people with less abstract education, like engineers). While it sounds egotistical, it probably does a good job at distinguishing those who know statistical mechanics from those who don't. The writers did a great job with that scene, IMHO. Here's some technical context: The integral is the moment of an exponential family, and in field theory, the "proper" way to compute that is by adding a current to the action and differentiating against the coupling, which looks like Feynman's trick in this case. (In pure statistics, it's analogous to deriving moments from the MGF, which is the partition function in physics, from which all observables are derived.)
Why I don't remember this episode 😮
Remember fellas, he founded MATHOLOGY, which it's sole and only sin was being stupid (by his standards)
Who's Georgie
lol I love how personal that “Nooooooo” 😏 was. Careful what you wish for sometimes folks! Ya Juuuussst might get it 🤣
The big bang theory is the name of this series
Why is this hashtag movie? This is a show
He doesn't take that back he's right
