I'm 20 and this always baffles me because generations are determined by what was popular for young adults at the time but that doesn't mean I wasn't fully aware at 10 years old that skinny jeans were being sold to me as well. Okay I’m 24 and i definitely remember wearing skinny jeans throughout middle and highschool. Which was 2014-2019. I will say that skinny jeans had multiple trends that evolved through the years. So depending on the type of jeans from 2008-2013 skinny jeans were usually low-mid rise but mainly mid-rise, and then somewhere around 2014, that’s when high rise skinny jeans started phasing into the mainstream. Like I remember all the tumblr girls fashion accounts were like filled with outfits with high rise skinny jeans. So her assistant is either lying or is talking about the older skinny jeans style that no one seems to remember.
