The rear boot button might be not working because of the independent boot button settings on the centre dash. Had the same problem with my 159 SW

Long time Alfa sufferer here, definitely recommend powder coating or waxoyling the subframe, they are very difficult to get hold of if replacement needed and double the value of the car.

I have a MiTo from around the same year as the 159 and the centre console lights working is one of those things that is truly a mystery, sometimes i can see my AC dials, sometimes i cant, there is no explintaion, ive put it down to good ol' Italian Electronics...
