Pretty sure Deaths final words in Spanish were "i shouldnt have played with my food" which means he was following him the whole movie for the fun of it.
Matpat just made me realize that him having 8 glasses of milk and moving onto his 9th is representing his lives and I have to thank Mat for pointing that out, unintentionally.
Puss in Boots 2 was an amazing film. I was blown away with the animation, story, and the fact that there were 3 antagonists that didn't conflict with each other. I really hope we get another film like this from Dreamworks. It seems to be teased that Shrek 5 will happen, so hopefully they carry the momentum into that film
Here's an interesting detail: All eight of Puss' deaths were a direct result of his devil-may-care attitude towards death - none of them were from normal occupational hazards for an outlaw adventurer such as himself. Puss never needed extra lives to continue his adventurer career to begin with; he just needed to stop being so reckless (Of course, having a couple of good friends to watch his back couldn't hurt).
I'm surprised he didn't support the milk death by pointing out how the 9 glasses represent each of his lives, and that Death showing up during that scene could imply Puss was going to drink himself to death
Eight drinks and a ninth one he's drinking, telling the bartender to "Make it your heaviest" Just making me love this movie more and more
i love that even the villians in this movie were never super annoying or over-powered at all. like yeah, death was a lot stronger than puss at first, but we only saw them fight twice and both times he never actually beat him up in a way that seemed almost unfair. it made it so fun to watch because all of the characters had their funny and quirky moments, i loved this movie a lot!
Puss In Boots: The Last Wish is probably one of the best animated movies to date, 11/10 bare minimum, I love animation so much.
A detail I noticed. When Puss in Boots is in the bar after being told to be a lap-cat, we already see he'd finished *eight* shots of milk and is working on his *ninth* before Death shows up, but never finishes it because Death interfered. This parallels his wasting of eight lives, and the likelihood of him finishing his last before his encounter with Death.
The death whistle is a vibe until u pause it and still hear it behind you 💀💀
I'm convinced this entire theory was conceived and written around MatPat getting to complain about Puss being on Hotones before him
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a perfect example of a sequel done right that exceeds the original in every conceivable way, it had incredible characters, amazing plot, and ridiculously immaculate animation
MatPat: *Watches movie about a sword fighting cat who battles it out for a magic wishing star* Also MatPat: This is very unrealistic
Fun fact, puss is obviously based on zorro but he’s also inspired by the Arthurian story of Morgana. A human that was turned into a talking cat by a witch, so puss is actually human
MatPat just proved how powerful puss is. He has a disadvantage in every fight and wins
I'm glad MatPat made this episode. It's good to know the hidden dangers with our pets. I will never have a cat. Most cats see me as a scratching post or a litter box. But, I love buns, but so many people think they know how to take care of a buns because of old cartoons that are putting so many buns sick and killed. Same with cats, same with dogs, same with birbs. Can you do a why Buss Bunny will be dead, because WOWIE he eats terribly for a buns.
This movie was waaaaay better than expected! It was so good that I literally applied to work for DreamWorks yesterday.
It's kinda interesting that Death follows some of the things that Mat already mentioned, like the lack of boots or shoes, uncovering his ears when he gets to fight, and although he still uses clothing that could get attached to something, is way bigger and easily detachable.
This movie is an absolute masterpiece. I watched it yesterday, and I just want to watch again. The animation, music and story was very well developed. And it's the best animated film that I have ever seen in my entire life. Well done to all of the actors including Puss in Boots, and Kitty. Just a all-around amazing film. Thankyou DreamWorks
Interesting thing of note about that bar scene: ever notice how, every time Puss is in a life-or-death situation that could have killed him, Death would be there in the shadows? The film was subtly inferring Puss was about to lose his last life in that bar. I love this film's visual storytelling so SO much. =^.^=
