The part about Zuma just wanting to do a good job is painfully realistic in the working world. It's genuinely sad how few managers realize how important and invaluable that kind of attitude is in a worker.
The life MatPat’s son must have... Imagine your parent watching literally every single episode of a show you enjoy while taking notes and then scripting/recording a thesis about it to publish to an audience of millions… seriously, what a life
You gotta love that MatPat is so dedicated to discussing a show his kid likes, that he decides to make everyone afraid of it.
Your dedication to watching over 400 episodes of paw patrol and carefully noting the number of rescues of each pup every episode astounds me, matpat.
If you noticed, the pups didn't find Marshal's clumsiness and jokes funny in the first season. That changed when in the second season, they had the pups laugh with (more like at) Marshal. He did have his own episode where he took care of the lookout tower and solved the emergencies that day by himself, I guess as a way to make him look more competent.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how dedicated MatPat is to his theories? He literally sat through all of Paw Patrol and took notes, including specials and the entire movie.
Matpat watches every single episode just to prove his point just shows how dedicated! Mad respect!
I love how Matpat does a victory lap over being right only to then admit that he's also sort of wrong.
Zuma is a good character who just wants to do a good job and he clearly cares but the writers don't care and most of the fandom likes marshall way more and so Zuma will continue being more of a background character until the writers figure out what to do with him
Hats off to MatPat for watching every Paw Patrol episodes to make this theory.

The fact that Zuma is the water rescue specialist, puts him on the same tier as Ripjaws from Ben 10. Since the need for water related scenarios being limited (since dogs and humans are primarily land animals, this makes perfect sense).

What I always notice about Marshal's "accidents' is that usually, it's another one of the pups who left out something dangerous, and in his haste to respond, he trips on that. Marshal isn't a clutz. He's just the unlucky one who takes it for the team because the others can't pick up after themselves.
