Film Theory: The DEADLIEST Magic School Bus Field Trip!

The best part about the OG run of The Magic School Bus was the segment at the end where the show would have "kids" call in to call the show out and the producer would essentially say, "look, this is a 20 minute show meant for kids, we can't do everything right in that time for that audience, the word magic is in the title, just go with it."

I’ll never get tired of MatPat’s voice, but it is nice to mix it up a little. Good job Dan. Glad you could give MatPat’s voice a break

Ms. Frizzle putting her class in constant danger in every episode gives Arnold his catchphrase "I knew I should've stayed home today."

I feel like it’s worth pointing out the fact that it looked like it took Arnold basically no effort to take his helmet off implies that all of the kids would’ve been long dead from oxygen leakage within like 5 minutes.

I love how Ms. Frizzle is so chill when she says “ Its a deadly poison”

This show NEEDS more Film Theory episodes. There's so much to unpack! Does Ms. Frizzle teach any other kids? Are there any other teachers in this school? Where did Bus come from? Was it a regular school bus at one point? If so, how did Ms. Frizzle give it life? What are the physical ramifications of all the transformations the kids going through?

I love the alternate dimension episodes where Dan is the host of the Theory channels where most of his theory ideas come from hanging out with his lore and science obsessed roommate MatPat

This was the one episode of the Magic School Bus that actually traumatized me as a child. Especially when Arnold pulled his space helmet off. It was startling to see,

The really fun part about Magic School Bus, is that some of this stuff they actually explain after the episode. With the producer explaining to kids over the phone and explaining how they skim over some information to fit the 20 minute runtime. It's frankly genius and really respects the intelligence of kids watching

I find hilarious that they did a film theory based on the very first episode. All it tells me is that you guys can do an entire series on this channel, dedicated to the chaos that is everyone's favorite teacher, Mrs. Frizzle

This whole show could be an entire series and I'm all here for it

This really helps you realize that all the theory channels are a real team work and not just Matpat. Im so proud of you all guys!

Matpat comes up with the most random show and just finds all the lore in it and i love it

Honestly, while with Mat i feel like i'm sitting in school with a very awesome teacher who actually keeps me very interested in the subject, with Dan i feel like i'm sitting at the couch at home attentively listening to a friend.

Imagine if Mat and Dan found out about the other episodes of the show. That would be one heck of a theory marathon

The scariest part about everything is that Miss frizzle and trusted about seven children to find her in the endless vacuum of space. Infinite darkness and infinite cold with a limited supply of air and she thought " Oh this would be the perfect time"

I love it how the Theory Team is actually dedicated to their videos and if someone gets sick the show still goes on.

As a kid, I loved Ms. Frizzle and wanted her as a teacher so bad, but as an adult, I question how she was allowed to keep her teaching license while constantly endangering her students lives and taking so many field trips with zero permission 😅

I love that Frizzle calmly describes the rain on Venus as “A deadly poison”
