I was watching this movie in the theater and out of nowhere, in the middle of the movie, one dude got up and t-posed out the hall. Everybody started laughing 😂
My own noticing about Weapons is that 2:17 am has the 17 kids missing and only 2 people from that class surviving.
I love Gladys using the term "a touch of Consumption" because not only does it suggest she is very (unnaturally) old, but also it's an inside joke for her because she is quite literally consuming Alex's parent's life force.
0:16 so it’s the fae? The monster is the fae? Aight
Fun fact; The reason the warning about giving the fae your name is phrased that way is because they are said to be very literal and physically cannot lie, so when a fae asks, "Can/may I have your name?" Or "Can/may you give me your name?" You are literally giving it to them, so to be careful, the way you're supposed to respond is to politely tell them they can't have your name, nor will you give it to them. Some people say that you can clarify that they can KNOW your name or a nickname instead of having it, but even then, it's a risky move and a slippery slope.
(yes, it heavily points to addiction as you pointed out. Also great theory about Fae and the folklore) I see it as mostly an allegory for school sh**tings. Looking at it through a political lens, I personally think that the giant AR-15 (Not an AK-47 btw) in the sky with the 217 on it (gun associated with a lot of school sh**tings) is based on multiple things. One being that 17 kids died during the Parkland sh**ting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (Maybrook Elementary School in movie) and it happened in February (second month), so 217. It also has a connection with an assault rifle ban that happened in 2022 where the House passed it 217-213, but it failed to pass in the Senate. Kids disappearing could be about trauma it leaves on the other kids, parents and towns after a school sh**ting happens. Just like in the movie, they waited for a period of time, but eventually they have to move on with life and nothing changes. Police are powerless after these events happen, so they were worthless in the movie. Kids are also used as "weapons" in debates about gun control where they use their deaths as political ammo (both sides). Even though the kids were saved, or lived through it, they will deal with PTSD having lived through the situation. That line about some kids started talking after year or so leans towards that, but they never come back to who they were before it happened.
4:44 actually it says that a year later some of them have started to speak again, so it’s not confirmed that it not possible for the others to recover, just that they’re not quite there yet.
Film theory doing Weapons is not something I expected
Weapons was interesting but in no way shape or form is it "the most terrifying horror movie in years"
Ain’t no way you called that an AK 47 at 1:49
Thats a nice theory although in the scene where the kids are mauling her to death we can see brain matter fall off and we can clearly see that it looks dark, blackish, fugel looking even.

1:52 im sorry to interrupt but that is not an ak-47, that is an ar-15
20:06 she took his dog tags. WITH HIS NAME ON THEM.
In the Studio Ghilbi movie "Spirited Away" the witch that runs the bathhouse controls people by taking their names.
Ah lee not being able to tell apart an m4 from an Ak is just incredibly funny to me
1:03 hey look its toy bonnie
"Weapons is the scariest horror movie in years!" That one gif of SpongeBob and Patrick on the baby roller coaster
16:12 Fun fact: Pigs are actually said to come from the Otherworld in Celtic Mythology
i have no idea why there are so many bad reviews. i genuinely really liked this film
