You guys should definitely watch the extended version of this fight! It’s even better than this. I actually thought they’d changed the episode to include the full thing on all streaming sites so I’m surprised it wasn’t here by default
I think my favorite piece of fridge horror from this episode is that Sukuna says “Now that felt odd…” after cutting into Mahoraga after its adaptation had begun. This implies some feedback let’s Sukuna know how resistant the materials he is cutting are so that implies that when Yuji got control back he could not only remember Sukuna’s actions from visuals but likely also his senses as well, meaning Yuji FELT Sukuna cut through all of those people, the minute differences between concrete , open air, and flesh and bone. I’d be sick too…
This fight is even better in the blu-ray but I'm just gonna mention how incredible Sukuna's theme "Malevolent Shrine" is right here, the ominous Buddhist chants with the electric guitar? Phenomenal. That with him grinning, ear to ear, mid-fight against a Shikigami so strong it put one of Gojo's ancestors 6ft deep in the dirt, really serves to remind you that yeah, he really is built like that. And this isn't even 20-fingers Sukuna, he's at like 75% power here I think
Sukuna can't just take over yuji has to let him
6:32 AAAAAHHHHH!!! Kira! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
18:40 using the intro song may seem weird for the english speaking viewers but it does make sense if you know the lyrics and it's meanings because the song is sang from Sukuna's pov and it is supposed to mock Yuji and his pain, for example "you are my special" basically means "you are my toy" and it is from Sukuna's pov to Yuji
did u just say.. potential
about malevolant kitchen Mi: prefix for something noble Zushi: cabinet (in noble people's kitchen)or miniature shrine Sukuna in the Japanese legends is related to food/cooking
The intro is Sukuna singing about yuji so it makes sense."A sinister, mocking sentiment from Sukuna to Yuji Itadori, representing a chaotic invitation to mutual destruction during the Shibuya Incident."
No one means, literally no oneever has subjugated mahoraga. As a group or individually
10:39 Except for Satoru Gojo, of course
hey guys u should watch bluray and extended version of this episode itss soo good
Just to let yall know, "Makora" is genuinely the original name of that creature, but you'll far more often see its (John Werry?) translation of 'Mahoraga' which is now standard in the community Also, the words for "Malevolent Shrine" can mean "Malevolent Kitchen" in Japanese as well; I think it has something to do with the word used for 'shrine'. I think either way works - a shrine you make sacrifices on, or a place for butchering and cooking
Crunchyroll's subtitles were messed up, its shrine.
To see that all those stories and legends about Sukuna and his strenght were no exageration
22:54 remember guys that itadori seems to be a one in a million scenario where if anyone else had the fingers they would die or immediately have their soul consumed by the finger (like that old lady’s grandson when he tried to channel Toji) Sukuna split himself into 20 fingers to guarantee that his strength would find a vessel to reincarnate and I’m pretty sure a single object wouldn’t have been enough to contain his soul so he used 20 objects instead Sukuna was just as surprised as Gojo and megumi when he was “sharing” a body after someone consumed a portion of his soul rather than overtaking the body completely or destroying it
You guys totally missed out on watching the blu ray version/extended version of the fight. It’s Art!
why isnt this the bluray version? they’d changed the episode to include the full thing on all streaming sites
Summon mahoraga requires 2 or more people for the active summoning ritual and is one of the dangerous techniques for the user The wheel of dharma will spin once then the sorcerer's attack will automatically be adapted so that it will be easy to counter the mahoraga
The original fight is really good, but the blu-ray version is more finished and much more polished. I recommend giving it a watch too!
