"It was just like this... My parents were killed right before my eyes..." Meanwhile... *Kyubi plugging in his controller*
it sounds insane his plan but thats literally what kept "peace" in our world.
"The cycle of hate" by pain. One of the greatest speeches in anime history.
"do you hate me?" i think naruto MIGHT hate you just a little bit......... it made me so sad to watch this again while editing down this video π such an amazing and sad moment :((( π₯π π₯π we're about to start the war arc over on patreon! for early access and timer reactions: /alanamisako HUGE shoutout to my mods that help delete spoilery comments! thank you guys!!!!!
"we are both ordinary men" when people hear Pain constantly say he is a god, realistically behind it all he doesn't mean that. that's what i find so interesting as this Pain arc progresses is that we slowly realize that Pain is just on the other side of the coin.
This was Hinata's best moment, animation lavished her confession scene to an unprecedented level. She couldn't just left Naruto all alone, plus If she didn't stepped in, Naruto was close to give up, the very first time that he was completely powerless on talk no jutsu.
Iβm glad she got some screen time in anime because In the manga it was only one frameππ
RIP Hinata sama π
21:58 is Pain directly talking to Alana.
Pain's speech about the cycle of hatred made Naruto realized that good or bad depends on the perspective. For the people of Konoha, Pain is a villain. For the people of Amegakure, Pain is their god and savior. The world is not black and white.
I think i read somewhere that this is the first time Naruto had anyone tell him directly that they loved him.
You gotta respect both Hinata and Pain. Hinata knew that she's no match but she still fights anyway to protect Naruto. Pain knew that she's no match for him but he doesn't take her lightly or mock her
The thing about Pain's speech is that it deeply echoes Japan's history with the atomic bomb and American occupation, and the idea that the fear of nuclear (tailed beast weapon) war leads to peace is based on the cold war holding the nuclear superpowers back from fighting each other. Pain is the embodiment of "war is going to be so terrible that dropping the nukes is actually a mercy and we just have to live like this because humanity is evil" which is really hard to refute to people who believe it because of the cold war holding back nuclear war and because of Japan's economic explosion post war.
the pain arc is the best arc in my opinion. Proper debate about perspective, and higher stakes, bro was taking out everyone.
Pain's speech remains one of the best moments.
Pain just lectured Naruto about Geopolitics and Military Industrial Complex.
Hinata is my GOAT, she couldn't let Pain/Nagato hurt her man, and had to try to help Naruto... we all need that mind of love!! ππππ
Painβs speech is also worth checking out in dub btw!!!
Repeating myself here, but Pain is just tge GOAT antagonist.
