The ressurection scenes are what make this series for me. For us it's funny, but for Megumin and Darkness, who are used to dead people staying dead, losing Kazuma is serious. The first time, they were crying over his body, and Megumin was still tearing up even though she knew Aqua could ressurect him. It makes the world seem more genuine, and it's those moments that make me love this series so much.

Kazuma was inside a Japanese "kotatsu." It's a table covered with a blanket, and the inside is heated. In Japan, it's said to be so comfortably warm that once you get in, you can't get out.

Poor Kazuma just wanted to stay under the kotatsu when he was forced back into adventuring. Then his plan gets ruined and he ends up dying from falling from a tree...He just wanted a heroin like Eris, his kotatsu, and a cool katana. They've met Eris several times in her human form already.
So think very hard about who you’ve met who looks and sounds like Eris - and the answer should become pretty obvious. Also, you MUST watch the movie at least between S2 and S3 - it is canon and events in are directly referred to. I would also recommend watching the side season, “An Explosion on This Wonderful World,” between S2 and S3 as well. 🙂
