Shadow-shadow fruit is very underrated. It has such a variety of abilities.

I just love how versatile the Shadow fruit's powers are. Not only for the user but also for those who can abuse it. Like without the stolen shadow people, we would never have gotten this boost to fight back, even if the crew would figure out something else.

I’m also guessing Oda gave him the ability to switch places for Moriah to be extra lazy, he’s ability already comes with a shadow servant but if he ever really needs to go somewhere he can just send the shadow and switch places

Moria IS still a Warlord, we had extreme luck (and outside help) with Crocodile, to not count the fact luffy got betaen TWICE before managing to beat him, and still, even on the third rematch, he was still egtting his ahhh beat. Now we not only have Moria, but also Oars, with Luffy's strenght and will + enchanced because of oars body... A power up is kinda needed

This arc is very good, but a lot of people hate how Moria's fruit is just ass-pull ability after ass-pull ability though Nightmare Luffy to the last episode are usually regarded as the best part of the arc. Everything from this point on is amazing (as you've already seen)

Oars being such a raid boss that the strawhats need combo attacks to even disable him makes you feel how desperate they are and even that doesn't work because moria plays goalie with his shadow. I still wonder if moria shadow power lets you boost anybody why doesnt he keep some shadows in reserve to boost his underlings like absalom or hogback in emergency situations. Also if somebody stronger like blackbeard whitebeard or ace got shadow boosted how many more than luffy could they absorb i wonder.

26:00 This is one of the big issues of the anime pacing. In the manga, this whole event is one page. He switches places, they freak out asking how, he explains and immediately pulls out scissors while holding her shadow already. They react yelling no and the next panel, her shadow is cut and she's knocked out. The manga implication is there is no time. The next panel is Sanji jumping in his Diable Jambe form, no implication that he hesitated. Also, Robin's shadow wouldn't be very useful for combat. It wouldn't have here devil fruit and she's not that strong otherwise.

Honestly, this whole fight is kinda wild to me because it has such high highs and such low lows. Some parts are so annoying and then other parts are some of my favourite in the whole series (especially all the Straw Hat co-op moves) I don't know how to feel about it lmao
