I had been studying german for about 9 months when i paused (not on purpose) while i got into persian by chance. I studied for a whole month and i really enjoyed it. It was so much fun to be an A0 A1 beginner learner again even though it definitely got a little difficult and challenging too... the plan was to take advantage of this pause when i realized i was in it before going back to german. I not only signed up to another month of Persian on the platform i was using and started learning some basic czech for my trip which got canceled now. Im still determined to keep learning czech but im slowly rebalancing my priorities by making german at the top again, keep persian in the middle and leaving czech at last because i dont really have a "deadline" like i kind of do with german (exam) and i just enjoy and love persian more. All of this to say that at first i saw this break with german as a failure and loss of so much progress and momentum ive built for months then i realized i desperately needed it. I am way more motivated to go back to it now than i ever was at month 8 or 9 where i was leaning towards burn out with it. Great advice. Its such a fresh fresh of air after so much polyglot and language learning content that i grew up watching...

This video resonated so much with me. I had to stop studying Welsh altogether back in March because of burnout — in 2 months, I had stacked about 100 hours of Welsh study… on top of my full-time job and life. I got back to it just last week, after 2 months of not studying at all.

your point on slow down and reflect is really reasonates with me.i don't really emphasized on get to a point as a main goal in a short term but positive energy led me to small progress but stay to the consistency point is kind of achievement.
