Agreed. Unfortunately, the anti-green lobby is well-financed and organised. Sadly, there are people who would rather see the planet fry than for its resources to be shared equitably. But we can't just shrug our shoulders and accept. The greatest pleasure in my life is watching my grandchildren grow up and the most important thing for me is that they also have the chance to do the same one day. That's not going to happen if we ldon't prevent the likes of Charles Koch, Jacob Rees-Mogg etc from destroying the planet for their own heartless greed.
Absolutely Richard. We work with very wealthy and powerful people ( many associated with business and automotive industry). The conversations in that universe are very telling. Climate change may be denied by a few pundits and members of the great uneducated but the Industries are absolutely aware of the dangers to come. The public are simply not their concern. At all. Make of that what you will.
It's as if the extreme weather events, the extended years of drought forcing human migration, the receding ice cover on Greenland and Antarctica, etc, etc weren't happening. But hey, look at the profits.

A real problem. While Putin’s only surviving because of oil and 3rd world countries have a moral right to catch up with the West and feed themselves before they go green not much will br achieved.
Clearly it's not a simple issue to resolve, just claiming to be green is not enough. Certain kinds of mitigation may create energy poverty that will affect the poorest in society usually. Buying electric cars may be greener for your own country but the energy and other pollution in manufacturing it is simply moved to another. Take a look at how nickel etc is extracted for batteries, in iniquitous conditions. We have to take careful, considered actions, or we could be making things worse. And it has to be at an international level.
