FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE OVWIAN TAKES HEALTH AWARENESS CAMPAIGN TO MARKETS ACROSS UDU LGA. The Federal Medical Center, Ovwian, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, took an impactful step beyond the walls of the hospital, bringing healthcare awareness directly to the people of Udu Local Government Area. In a well-coordinated sensitization campaign, a team of dedicated professionals moved across major markets within the LGA, engaging residents, traders, and community members on the services, operations, and capacity of the hospital. The outreach team which made up of experienced medical doctors, health educators, and public relations personnel, used the opportunity to educate the public on the importance of seeking proper medical care and to reassure them of the hospital’s readiness to meet their health needs. They emphasized that FMC Ovwian, currently operating from its temporary site in Otor-Udu Town (opposite the Udu LGA Secretariat), is fully functional and equipped with seasoned professionals committed to delivering quality and accessible healthcare services to the people of Udu and surrounding communities.
