Im 76, homeless. Food bank vital. Senior center lunch here in Nevada. Social services helping me. I waited a longtime before I admitted I need help. Live in my van, health issues, meds expensive. Summer brutal, winter too.
We think food and beverage and restaurants were high in price before, stay tuned.
Don't forget about groceries cousin: infamous property taxes that are disconnected from fixed incomes but based on artificial home valuations so they can efficiently squeeze all life blood from the tax farm animals.
It’s amazing how everything goes up except for wages. These companies lay people off while making record profit. Sickening corporate greed.
What makes me sick as the food price rise people are buying less stuff that they used to and I’m watching grocery stores at the end of the night throw multitudes and multitudes of food in the garbage. There’s got to be a better answer. Why don’t they start putting things on half pricemore often so people can put things in the freezer and at least the grocery stores will make some money, even though I know they use it as a write off.
