Please do try the food at night market where the stall has multiple menus printed on big vinyls and they have many condiments ready on the table. Those are the most authentic. I wont recommend shopping mall food courts but if you want the experience, you should go to MBK center's food court downstairs. They have michellin items. Have a great time in Thailand. I wish you can come visit Myanmar too, which in next to thailand. But currently Myanmar is under political crisis. If you ever come visit here, pls let me know. in southeast asia it will be pretty safe to assume shops and restaurants closed on 10pm, but not all. so you need to plan accordingly
