I once saw a women come to full stop on a busy interstate to avoid hitting ducks, caused traffic to have to slams breaks, swerve every direction. It’s like the complete opposite of Todd but ends in the same place, it’s having such an insane level of empathy that you actively put other people at risk, so concerned with how you would feel that you place others in harms way to avoid feeling bad.

He played Todd so well that I hate the actor in anything I see him in. Like literally seeing him annoys me

I don't understand the directors note. Wouldn't the normal response to hit the raccoon? I don't get how that explains todd's character.

I think a better way to put it in perspective is if swerving wouldn't have had any bad consequences. He just hits the raccoon so he doesn't have to swerve. He doesn't go out of his way to do it, but if it's there, he really couldn't care less.

Bro what 😂 if my car is either going into a ditch or into traffic I’m hitting that damn raccoon anyways doesn’t mean I would shoot a kid or torture a guy

I feel like anybody would be fine with running a racoon over, it's better than hitting a car or flying into a ditch.

In that scenario you hit the brekes? That way you don't kill the raccoon (or the innocent bystander/witness) nor run your car into the ditch).

Weird... my automatic thought is to go for the ditch. Yeah... some people choose not to injure any animals but themselves

It was a great scene. Todd was such a lovable character outside this scene; so it made you remember he was still the bad guy
