Titanium is an element
Mild steel sounds WAY better than stainless, it has this like rasp to it, it’s weird to say but mild sounds way better than stainless, uglier for sure but sounds way better
My buddy’s 2006 GSXR 1000 full exhaust, from. headers to can was Titanium. 15 years and still perfect when he sold his bike.
As a fabricator who has worked on hundreds of custom exhausts, I can validate that this is 100% true
Inconel 625? Thin as hell and handles great levels of stress and heat.
Mandrel benders have been around for almost a century. Shops doing exhausts just couldn’t afford one capable of bending titanium. Modern mandrels have been around since the late 1950s and mandrels of some type have been in manufacturing since the late 1800s.
Element but also extremely light so ideal for very high performance and race cars. Not ideal for road cars unless you have a very expensive car and don't care about the cost
Titanium is used in jet engine exhausts and combustion chambers because it handles heat cycles so well. And Titanium wasn't designed... its a natural element. This guy is a dumbass. Don't listen to him
Thats why SpaceX decided to use Stainless for the Starship.
Pie cuts are only useful for 2 stroke exhausts
Not designed
💪💪💪💯💯💯💯💯👏👏👏👏👏 every mineral element Has its efficiencies👍🏻😎
It's all about weight reduction. Titanium is much lighter than Stainless Steel.
There is better alloys of stainless steel that are actually perfect for exhaust and will literally last forever 304,316 and the better in heat 309 check it out.
Titanium is good 4 weight reduction ur hole Titanium exhaust weight 30 40 pounds same exhaust n stainless is 150 pounds
TITANIUM SUFFERS FROM ENBRITTLEMENT. TINY FRACTURES WHEN HEATING AND COOLING ARE REPEATED OVER AND OVER. STICK WITH STAINLESS..... STRONGER AND CHEAPER!! OH AND EVERYTHING IS MADE OF ELEMENTS
Pie cut exhaust are restarted your just adding more potential failures point if your building a pie cut exhaust I can't take you seriously that's a show car not for serious performance
you need to learn some material science mate
"Titanium's a joke...... stainless steel is much better." Then why didn't they use stainless steel in the manufacturing of the SR-71? 🤨🤦♂️🙄
And yet the sr71 fuselage is 💯 titanium
