Would love to see you getting a car in Mallorca or any of the Balearics. Lived here nearly 30yrs and would love to help out! might be more possibility of barn finds as well.

Hi Ben, fantastic video. You got a great car. I once did a similar trip in 2016. I delivered a 10 year old fiat punto to Albufeira Portugal from Cork Ireland. What an adventure 😂.

You thanked us for coming along, but we should be thanking you for taking us along. What an absolute blast! Glad to hear you'll be keeping the car, it's a total beast!

Accelerating away from that toll booth that 1.8 engine sounded absolutely amazing, yeah, i mean when you where temporary blinded by your own sunglasses lol, sounded and looked amazing, was like a scene from the original Italian job lol

1:45-ish, Ben you finally heard me shouting that yes, you DO need that spring in the radiator cap. It can’t pressurise the system without that. Of course, you could dramatically reduce your water loss, if you put the overflow pipe into a bottle, rather than letting it spill on the ground…

My 1965 Chrysler Valiant AP6 that was made in Australia 🇦🇺 like meself has so much visibility I can see out the side windows as the A and B pillars are easy to see through unlike today’s cars which are just full of blind spots. I love my 61 year old car. It’s my daily driver ❤

Hi, Ben. I'm originally for South Wales now in Ontario, Canada. When I came over my first requirement was a vehicle. A workmate suggested going around dealerships to see what they had as 'trade-ins' to dispose of. This was okay as I was able to fix as required. For instance, i bought a $1975 Jeep CJ5 for CDN$250 with an oil filter leak which should have had new motor mounts by replacing the oil filter with a filter from a 1960s Buick. Thread size and seal O.D. is what matters. I took that Jeep from Toronto to the South Ridge of the Grand Canyon and back and sold it a year later for what I bought it for.

1:22:36 I had a very similar panic with my E39 M5 when taking it to France. Stopped off at some services on the A3 and saw water underneath it. Had a massive panic for about 3 mins, then worked out it was condensation from the air-con. I still get your fright though.

Cheers Ben that was a great watch. We had one of those. It was a X reg 1982 316 in Baltic blue. It was a 5 speed though. That may have been optional or maybe just a little later. Of all the cars it is the one I wish we had kept. All the best, Mart in Solihull.
