Only Valve would do something like this. I love it. To put in the effort when the controller DOENST EVEN HAVE SPEAKERS!! It vibrate the haptic motors at the right frequencies to make the sound effects If you'd like to support the channel, consider a Dave2D membership by clicking the “Join” button above! http://twitter.com/Dave2D http://www.instagram.com/Dave2D https://discord.gg/Dave2D

WHAT!!!! using the haptic motors as speakers?!?!
The Valve engineering team projected 20% more sales just from people breaking their controller while trying out this feature.
When you give your engineers full creative freedom, this is what happens: a product with a soul.
The original *FAHHH!*
10/10 100/100 best thing best thing!
Valve is taking W after W.
Damn I regret moving from PC gaming.
This is the kinda feature I would never discover myself because of my disposition of being merciful to electronics 😂
I had to make sure it wasn't April 1st again
When my parents find me gaming at 3 am and I drop it and both my and it make the same sound. It'll be so much fun.
How much time and engineering they've put on this thing?! It's not even in its final form yet (should be paired with the steam machine) Valve just being legendary
Modders will change it to Yamete Kudasai
Kinda reminds me of the Wii remote speaker for sound effects. But using *motors* for sound effects? That’s next level, and this one sounds shockingly accurate, too! 🤯
Joycons kinda do the same thing sometimes. When you pick up coins in Mario Kart, they’ll make the coin collecting sound when they rumble.
I noticed in Mario Wonder, the switch pro controller makes the classic coin sound with haptics. Brilliant use of the tech!
Ok learning it doesn't have a speaker and it uses the haptic motors blew my mind that's the kind of crazy ass effort only Valve would do
Haptic motors were always based on sound waves. With dual sense if you put it on your ear you can hear water, or dirt depending on the game
That’s engineering I wanna see
People don't understand that Valve will go balls to the wall to develop hardware for a niche market.
