Old guy comment : I had the pleasure of meeting Travis when I was 16. I grew up 45 minutes from Pastrana land but didn’t meet him until he was visiting Denver for nitro Circus. I got out of the car at Denver skate park with my mom, there he was with Lyn Z and their kids. She beelined over to him and introduced us. His daughters walked and played with my dog and I skated with his wife for a few hours. One of the best days ever. Absolutely unreal. I do not subscribe to the worship of celebrity, but this man has truly earned his place in history, and will forever be one of the most inspiring dirt men of all time.

Where on earth did you find that monster sized trampoline?
Anyone who wants to know how to backflip: start with and focus on the form of a “standing back tuck”- gymnastics term for backflip from a standing position. Trampolines obviously help. Lots of videos on YouTube, but essentially just two movements: the jump and the knee tuck. The jump: Jump straight up, extending your hands and arms to feel like you are touching the sky. If done correctly you will land in the same spot and actually slightly behind your initial position. Tuck: after you jump, tuck your knees to your chest. *not your chest to knees. Bring your knees to your chest and your center of mass immediately shifts and you’ll whip around. I took a tumbling class in college and we were learning back hand springs or trying to at least haha I tucked my knees and flipped around. I was so shocked at how easy it was and my teacher was like “oh yeah that’s how you do a backflip or standing back tuck.” So I went and practiced flipping all class instead hand springs lol Good to have a spotter and a soft landing the first few times.
