Pulling a pitch vertically might be a little easier to get away with. But if its outside the plate you might as well not even try.

To much arm movement imo but I am neither d1 or an ump. I think to fool the ump it should be limited to wrist movement as much as possible.
If you are framing to this extent the umpire isnt calling anything on the corners. Bring to the corner closest.

That framing is so obvious the ump discounts it. It is a stupid approach to catching. Framing used to be subtle, a lost art nowadays.
