I want my 85 sounding 95 hell yeah
Imagine if the catcher started popping slow pitches and egging fast ones to mess with the batters
Coach got me ready to suit up I ainβt gonna lieπ
For anyone confused , This is Trey Mancini learning to play First Base. He previously played outfield. Heβs wearing a Gausman shirt for reasons unknown lol
"Just don't swat at it" as my dad used to say. "Let the ball come go you, don't swat at it."
This is great information⦠but for a major leaguer??? I feel that this is information needed for high school/college kids before the draft.
me waiting for one of them to start crying
This makes sense for first base because umps use hearing a lot on safe/out calls.. but as far as ground balls at any position, he smokes crack
Never get bored of the basics
even MLB coaches gotta teach the basics every so often. mastering the basic while doing anything always gets you where u need to go.
He is right you can hear the ball hitting the glove when running bases if you train yourself to listen for that
My grandpa, who turned down playing for the Cincinnati Reds cuz u could make more money in the factory for General Motors, always taught me that the sooner you could get to the ball coming at you was the biggest win! Don't be afraid and never let it come to U!
I effin love this
This is why coaches matter on every level β€β€
Crazy pros are learning shit I was told in high school
Completely opposite of how we do it in cricket, but I get why. Good explanation
Ron Washington had very similar drills
I remember early in the spring as baseball started getting going, you'd literally have to recondition your hands, making them tougher for that "pop" of catching a hard thrown baseball. It stung for weeks lol
Good coach
I love this!
