I watched the Cork v Clare U20 hurling Munster semifinal last night . It was a game of pulling , dragging ,holding, pushing in the back and illegal hand passing . Whoever did the most fouling won the match ,and that was Clare . Cork although they did a lot of fouling didn't quite live up to the skill of Clare at the new way of hurling . The ref was on another planet and his blowing of the whistle was a completely haphazard event that he injected into the play, just to let every one know he was still around and in charge . Tear up the Rule Book or enforce it . Many say Hurling is not the same today as the game of old . They are right . Why? Beacause the game of hurling and the GAA is run by semi - imbeciles . 💚
