Sir Alex is one of the greatest psychologists in football. He knew Anderson did not have proper parents in his life and he gave him what he needed at United - a good father figure that protected him and guided him. Not many 19 yr olds owned Gerrard at Anfield. He did. He was fearless, had a good engine for a big lad and was a better footballer than he was given credit for.
