I laugh when MAGA wants to be like, "SNL _SUCKS!_ I wish it went back to the days before it got *ALL **_POLITICAL!"_* Like when they only made fun of presidents like Biden and Obama! And Bush Jr! And Clinton! And Bush Sr! And Regan! And Carter! And Ford! And Nixon! The reason it sucks _isn't their fault!_ Comedy results from the absurd, or taking the real and twisting it too absurdity (Reagan was a competent calculating political machine behind closed doors, Obama turned into a "Hulk" style rage monster). Not just taking reality and putting it on blast (making Bush Jr look like a wild party-president). To twist this administration into a parody of itself would be creating a competent administration, and that's only funny in a sad way. Baisically they're in a holding pattern of picking a setting and just dragging out what all the administration did this week, all at once, with a joke or absurdity sprinkled around here and there.
