I really like principle 4 of letting your players decide the style of football and checking your midfield to see what they're good at, I think I will apply that to CBs and STs as well!

I love this, and agree to a point. The FM world is full of "unbeaten" tactics that I agree is for certain teams or tested with Liverpool etc etc. I do create my own systems but I build based on my own ideas for what I would like to see. At times it's worked others not so much, like real life I guess? But ultimately FM is a game, it's a system a AI ran game that ppl set out to break. Because there is always a way to beat it. Like strikerless rubbish, unless I have 10 men I would never set up a strikerless tactic it's unrealistic. But it beats the AI it beats the system. As real as FM can be to rule the game you may have to play a way that is not your way...3 at the back or strikerless seems to rule the roost. But I don't like either as a coach myself the system I like takes a long time to get either players trained that way or to sign the players I need. But it's real, and that's what I like and prefer

Ended up here after starting an Union save. Was curious how others had gone about it. Its funny because we arrived at similar tactical shapes - however I moved the mid centerback up in possession to do midfield and then kept the wings. I use a slightly "askew" system if that makes sense? Intention is to drop the ball from the back across the field for quick turnovers while being mainly equipped to soak pressure and dominate possession - depending on what side my opponent prefers - we switch the attacking wingside around. Its mostly showing in defensive movement, in that anything from midfield and back doesn't really change its order - but at all times the striker and the attacking wingside rides high - alot of long passes across the field. Im really impressed with how easy it is to set up an attacking structure that constantly pulls the opposition defense in either way. Did a similar thing with a semi-pro team to so/so success, think mainly the issue was wingbacks having to run more than they could stand which makes systems like that entirely too open for route one style play. Generally my day one decisions are made on grounds of physical stats - but I also usually tend to play non-league or low league teams that really arent all that good, so you can always rely on pace and fitness to be the guiding principle. I also heavily favor versatility over like "top tier players" that really can only do one thing since needs change over a season - rather a complete player than a goated striker who wont run and wants 400k a week for it. Oh and my general idiosyncracy is to always press midfielders to just kill off the transitions before they even get going, which I admit is a terrible habit and not at all applicable at all times.

Personnellement sans mentir j'ai joué réellement au jeux avec FM24, grâçe au XGP j'avais accès aux autres FM mais dès que j'y jouais et que je perdais plusieurs matches j'abandonnais. Puis est arriver FM24 j'ai pris plus de temps pour comprendre le jeu puis j'ai persévéré mais finalement... La tactique du champion du monde de FM24 est tombé et je l'ai utilisé... J'ai vraiment pris beaucoup plus de plaisir de gagner les matches et sur FM26 j'utilise une tactique similaire mais qui prend un peu plus en compte les compétences des joueurs.
