The only way to fix this is to firstly, sack all the sporting directors. Every single one of them has failed massively and don’t deserve to make any more decisions at this club. Next, they need to hire someone like Xabi Alonso and give him FULL CONTROL. Which would include letting HIM pick a sporting director that HE feels comfortable working with. And lastly, when Alonso and his sporting director say they want a specific player, don’t say anything. Just pay.

Chelsea’s philosophy is prioritizing profits through player sales at the expense of squad building. Until this changes it’s going to be difficult to build and have a core! Jamie’s spot on!

Its not complicated to run a football club properly. BlueCo has spent over a billion, but apart from 4–5 players, most of that money has gone into signing unknown Pokémons. The squad needs a complete rebuild, and the club needs an experienced manager with full authority. But right now, they’re too deep into this approach to change. Realistically, things won’t change until the ownership changes, so we Chelsea fans could be stuck in a difficult period for the next decade, maybe until 2035. 💙
