Lately, I’ve just been feeling a bit… off. Just a bit unsure about things. Nothing too heavy, just an honest catch-up really. Secret truth: none of us knows what we're doing - literally everybody is muddling their way through life and making it up as they go along - even the people that outwardly look sorted. Everyone has a private struggle of some kind. You're not alone ❤
As a 52 year old that also recently was made redundant from her job I can understand how you are feeling! I have to say that I am also enjoying the positive side of finally having some free time to do things that I love and that I never previously had the time to do. I was consumed by my job for 25 years! this new life is not too bad after all :-) thanks for the lovely video and I am sure that things will change for the best for you in no time!
Sending you lots of love in this time of uncertainty. I've been there a couple of times, and it's never easy! So be as gentle to yourself as possible. ❤ As a 38-year-old myself, I also love to watch those "live in my 20s" kind of videos, but I wish I could find more women in their late 30s/40s on YT. All stages in life are worth sharing!
I'm with you on being in one's fourth decade of existence and still having no idea what I want to do "when I grow up." I have interests, there are skills and talents I could absolutely monetize, but there's no wanting to do X thing or be Y thing. I really want to just get paid to be someone's imaginary friend, help them achieve their career dreams/professional goals, or put objects back where they're supposed to go. For instance, every time I'm at a bookstore, I have to tell myself not to go overboard with putting magazines back where they're supposed to go when I'm browsing the periodicals.
I am 43 and just quit my job. I am so exausted and afraid...
I turned 45 a few weeks ago and I feel like I’ve spent the last 5 years trying to figure out what I want from life. Why is it so hard to decide?! Sometimes I think I just have too much free time and so my mind has too much space to wander and drive me crazy 😅
Hi Kash❤ Lovely to meet you. I am 49, and I have absolutely no idea!! A friend the other day said "midlife evolution" instead of crisis!! It feels quite uplifting🦋 I'm excited to see some of Edinburgh. I have recently got to know some people from Scotland. Lovely to be here❤
I am 34 and I am feeling this way too. Your video made me feel less alone, thank you ❤
Good luck with the job hunt❤
Hi, im also lost , but discovering myself at 45 and through kundalini and kung fu a connection to the divine. Im in Perth btw. Arthurs seat , used to be a little estate at its foot called dumbiedykes, stories i cld tell. Anyway hang in there lovely ❤x
You seem very gentle and kindhearted, with compassion for others. Would you consider doing support work or aged care work? I changed to this profession after twenty years always working late nights and weekends in hospitality, and I absolutely love it and find it so rewarding. I now do home and community support and wish I had done it ten years earlier. You meet so many lovely people and it's very fulfilling helping others. I am in Australia, yet I would imagine there would be many work opportunities for support workers in Edinburgh as there is here? New subscriber and I look forward to your future videos 😍💞
This is where one realises by this age that all that matters and is meaningful and life is all about is family and children. Nothing else really comes close
I'm just watching again. I am all caught up. Thank you for sharing your journey❤
Hi T. Job wise, I think you either 1). Had the job for the sake of it, or 2). You believed it was right. Many people have theories about work but the core is this: passion. Whatever it looks like, does that show up when you work? Your 40s isn’t the issue. It’s when you wake up and say: I’m where I want to be. At 44 and beyond, you’ll know 👍 W
Oh how I relate! Thank you for this x
Thank you for sharing this vlog Darling 🩷. So happy to come across your channel. Sending wings and wand from The Pixie Tales 🧚🏻

I'm 34 and don't know what to do with my life...i never knew. I have an average job and I'm ok with that, i don't want to make a big career
