As a 6 foot one female that has a athletic body type I have followed you for YEARS, and I am so proud of you for standing up for us. everybody deserves to be recognized in fitness. Muscles are longer on us and frame is wider and when I was a 15-year-old girl following you, you got me out of some really dark shit. Keep doing you <3

This is actually so disheartening but you are so incredible for standing your ground, knowing your worth, and never just settling! I have followed you for YEARS and you influence women to be strong and healthy which is all anyone should want to be!!! You’re truly so gorgeous inside and out and the fact anyone made you feel “bigger” actually blows my mind!!! Keep doing you because you are what the fitness industry should be pushing and the right brands know that girl. The only time I ever bought from alphalete was because I won a gift card from one of your giveaways and that will be the last!!💞

I think the only reasonable thing to do is to make your OWN WORKOUT BRAND for the tall girlies!!!!!!!! We would all support you tenfold. Love you girl 💕 I’ve supported you forever, this video made me love you more and so proud of you for speaking out! Xoxo

I think oner active would be a better brand for you to work with. They seem to be more open to working with models of all body types. Alphalet can kick rocks!

I have followed you for years and you were one of the two people I would always watch alphalete try ons for. I was so sad to see you go, but completely respect why you did! It’s refreshing to hear the real sides of the fitness industry. My jaw was on the floor for half of this video just thinking about all the bullshit that happened. The fact that you were considered the “bigger girl” is fricken crazy!!! Regardless of size, brands should be inclusive to EVERYONE. People of all shapes and sizes need active/lounge wear…. Anyways, I’m excited you’re back on YouTube because you’re one of my favorite people to watch. Keep your head up and just know that this was just a sign that there is better out there for you ❤

I stopped buying from Alphalete after Gaby left, this video is the confirmation I needed that I was right to stop. I’m so so so sorry this happened, I was crying with you watching this ❤ thank you for being so vulnerable!

I’m so sorry you had to experience this! As a fellow 5’10”, 170 something pound woman, I appreciate you calling these issues to attention because people do not realize the added pressure to be smaller that comes with being a tall girl. You are gorgeous and healthy and that brand is going to suffer from the athletes they’ve screwed over like you who were trying to advocate for different body types and diversify the customer base. No one should be treated like that in a workplace ❤

Thank you so much for opening up. We need tall girls representing brands. Their loss. You deserve so much better ❤

you’re one of the 2 ppl who introduced me and put me on Alphalete. i’ve used your code so many times. and coincidentally ever since you left, i’ve also felt like the brand hasn’t been as good so i actually haven’t bought much at all from them recently. it’s like they’re going downhill on so many fronts. also what they said to you is insane (like at 11:40 my jaw dropped)

Babe. Maybe it’s time to make your own brand. I will 100% buy that

hey makayla, thank you so much for sharing everything, honestly, it’s so touching to hear how you advocated so much for yourself and for equity and i feel so much for you. i’m so sorry you were mistreated, you have a beautiful kind heart and you don’t deserve it. i’m happy to hear you’re feeling more like yourself. please keep taking care of yourself 🤍 people like me are here supporting you because of who you are and what you stand for, not the brand you work for. your posed and unposed reels and approach to sustainable fitness has helped me so much, it really has. i care about you lots from afar !!

You're such a grounded, intelligent, empathetic person. I absolutely watched all of this, and I'm so sorry you've had to go through that shit. Those geniuses do realize that the highest-end models on planet earth are exactly your height? You're a literal goddess, and you made the Alphalete stuff look insanely good. It def smacks of vindictive jealously imo. Greg Douchette legit hates women. Guy should probably seek help. I'm really sorry to hear about your uncle and grandma too. I just know they're both so incredibly proud of you for standing on your morals and doing what's right. We love you Mak x

Girl I respect you so much and realized I was supporting you more than Alphalete. When I saw you weren’t an athlete anymore, I had to reason to buy the clothes. Says a lot. Love you so much and thank you for being who you are. Such an inspiration ugh

This might be my favorite video you've ever made! I want to hear about your experiences and thoughts and perspective on things. The longer the better honestly. I don't have much interest in following aesthetic girls or people who don't show their realistic and balanced life anymore, so I'm so happy you decided to be more open with us! It takes courage, but it does help a lot of us!

I completely felt every word you said and I’m so sorry to hear about your experience with that brand. I currently am working for a brand myself that I have been feeling the same exactly about for the last two years. I’ve been with them for three. the inclusivity and favoritism is extremely obvious when it comes to the Fitness community and the brands. Being authentic and always making sure that it’s morals over money and of course, standing up for yourself because you know how much you have to offer. It can be really sad though because you spend so much time investing into the brand not to get the seme investment back. There will always be more brands and the people who follow in love you will always be there to support you. I hope you’re doing better now, babe.❤

I’m not even halfway through my heart is broken for you. That is so fucked up what they did to you when you were arguably one of the most inspiring women there. You have inspired me for freaking years. I’ve had you on my vision board for years. Keep doing your thing because the right bitches will always have your back.😤💞❤️🔥💯
