You've reached the end
Introducing the Saudi league and having it rain all the time is just so SI.
TLDR translation: Don't expect much from the World Cup update or FM27 either.
"I take full responsibility." That's one of those meaningless things to say when you throw other people under the bus for your own failures.
3:15 damn, Zealand just got FM 27, 28 and 29 canceled
I tried fm 26 yesterdat. I played 1.5 hrs i was rlly into it. Than my file corrupted and i could not progress futher lol. Had to delete 1.5 hrs of work so i deinstalled
i think sports interactive doesnt even gasp how much they lost. the game could have been unbelievable huge, espeically with the fifa problems on other games, it had the once in a lifetime chance to go full mainstream and EXPLODE ... they lost the jackpot win
Given how ridiculously popular football is, one would think there would be at least ONE decently run football game. Well, no.
Miles taking full responsibility for FM's failures since God knows how long but he's still the head of the studio.
Many of us spent (literally) years warning him not to do the UI thing we perceived that he was planning to do all along. He gave the entire FM community one giant middle finger and I doubt very much it will ever be right again.
This is why im still playing fm24
Miles and Co have legitimately killed this franchise, its going to take a monumental effort to regain the trust and overall playerbase they lost
SI is dead and so is FM, we just haven't had the funeral yet.
Miles simply cannot stop himself from blaming people other than himself. It sneaks into every thought he has, every word he writes.
My first FM was 23 and I bought it on sale late in the games cycle. I dumped a few hundred hours into it, bought 24 at launch, spent over 1000 hours on that, watched every YouTuber under the sun, and now with fm26 I’ve barely broken 100 hours while watching almost no content on the game. The itch to play is still there but I’m not having fun with the game at all. Resentment is the perfect description for how I’m feeling towards SI
Have to disagree with Zealand on the UI not being a massive issue. It's the number 1 thing people complained (bugs aside, but those "could" be fixed, in fact, a lot were and people didn't come back), it's the reason the game felt smaller and more monotonous to navigate
A broken, unfinished update for a broken, unfinished game... can't wait!
You're completely right about the language. They speak as if the game met THEIR OWN expectations and the problem is ours as the players who COULDN'T like the game, which is so far from the truth.
My single biggest negativity with FM26 is the UI. It's so fricking slow to navigate and so many features feels "hidden" behind way too many clicks or menus. My biggest negativity overall is how SI has (not) communicated for 2½ years now! They say how they wanna be more open and transparent, and then it's SILENCE for years. And still silence. As a fan who has played CM since 1998 and FM all way through since FM2005, I've felt stepped on by SI. I love FM, and I will still continue to buy FM and support their work, because I wanna see what they do in FM27 and FM28. I think FM har enormous potential with Unity, so I really really hope that the next two games are vast improvements, because they need that headwind to salvage FM. And then they need to STOP saying they will communicate or "keep in touch", if they actually won't do it. Then just don't say it, and we take news when it comes...
This is the point where the doctor says the illness is terminal. And it IS very much terminal. Rest in Peace, Sports Interactive.
Believing that these choice of words aren't VERY intentional is very naive to be honest. All these type of letters are always very thorough in what words they choose to use.
