Man that was an epic tournament from start to finish. The surfers are pushing the boundaries and each other. I don’t think anyone will run away with it and it will come down to pipieline to decide the champ. The women are ripping more than ever and how good to have two aussie queenslanders win the finals on home break in front of a monstrous crowd. Ronnie Blakey's 'Bane' quote at 5:26:24 is too good! 👍👍 Edit - In semi 1 for the men, 2 judges gave LOB's 7.30 a 6.8...! That wave was an 8, easily. High 7 at the very minimum. For 2 judges to give it a 6.8 is disgraceful. Likewise Connor's first 8 in the second semi was NEVER an 8, and I say that as a fan of him.

Why is this a big deal? These people are surfers. They are all talented! The commercialization of surfing is nothing more than money play.
