"listen I'm tired, your tired, can we just call it a tie and both hold our heads high?" Good sportsmanship right there.

Rumor has it that the Australians use vegemite instead of grip spray

The fact that the "better" of the two suggested joint gold makes it even better.

When it’s THAT close, I 100% agree with the “let’s share the gold” option. Beautifully done! Bravo!

I feel so slow. This video finally made me realize where the phrase “raising the bar” comes from.

As an ex athlete, it always makes me cry when medals are shared as that’s the highest lvl of sportsmanship there could ever be if you ask me and any fellow Olympian or athlete in general. Its exhausting, probably the last day or hrs competing, starving, out of energy, barely walking, literally surviving and it’s such a relief when your comp actually agrees as an admission of their own condition and reminder that we’re all humans and have our limits sometimes. It’s not the easy way out, it takes a lot to go there and share what you’ve been dreaming on. 🫂 Thanks for the videos 🙏🏽

This reminds me of those two high jumping athletes who decided to tie in 1st place in the 2021 Olympic high jump finals. "History my friend".

Dude, pole vaulting is kinda nuts. I never really paid attention to it or thought about it until I randomly decided to watch it during the 2024 Olympics. It’s crazy what they do.

BOTH of them handled it like absolute champions with FANTASTIC sportsmanship and ABOLUTE class. That's how fair competition and TRUE sportsmanship is SUPPOSED to work!!! A tip of my hat and a GIGANTIC salute to BOTH of these ladies!

Absolute neck and neck stuff, great sportsmanship to share the medal, it's very fair if they both cannot be seperated after every tiebreaker
