I haven’t seen Nick in years. I saw his Dawn at Shepherds Bush guruwarda a few years ago. Then before that not sure but I remember he had E30 M3 with S54B32 in it at Ace Cafe on bank holiday weekend many years ago.
I like the walk around with the cars because sometimes you guys reference ones I don't know. Only thing is you need a gimbal for those shots. I was getting motion sickness! This guy is really down to earth. Good guest. I was hoping he'd talk a bit more about how he sources his plates given it's difficult these days to get something in use due to GDPR.
If I ever won the lottery and decided to start a collection ... I would have a very similar variety of classic cars and movie cars ... by far the best personal and usable collection of cars in the country ... absolutely love the passion for the automotive history.
Historically having a private registration was a way of avoiding IHT (Inheritance Tax). Since a seemingly invaluable car could be inherited with £Nil IHT however the car carrying a registration worth a significant sum. HMRC cottoned on to this and as a result any registration with a value of greater than £10,000 and being inherited is subject to IHT.
