Sorry you need to get off your no cropping high horse, is not always about better composition. If you want to travel light, sometimes cropping is a great option to extend your reach without bringing additional or longer lenses.
its also funny the illuminated buttons..these used to be normal on DSLRS!..I had a NIKON D500..etc..always wondered why these SONY mirrorless cameras never had that as a normal thing..lol but here it is now! about time!.
Nikon Z9 is 4.5 years old and has a 3.7ms readout. Impressive back then and still is.
I’m getting back into photography, and the last time I bought a camera it was a 5d mkii. Needless to say, the specs on these new cameras I’m considering almost sound like a joke. The mkii had NINE af points, and ONE that actually worked. I remember you had to use the center one to focus and then when you had focus locked you had to reframe the photo and hope for the best hahaha. Man, these new cameras are just freaking incredible. I think I’m going to go with the a7iv.

For the video nerds out there that always post about video every time Sony releases a camera meant for stills first.... SHUT UP already! It's a "R" series for a reason!
It is me King Cropper. This is very exciting for wildlife but specifically birding. Even the 400-800 isn't enough reach especially when it comes to small birds. Would love better composition but sadly I can't fly. I'm working on it but no promising leads yet. Even cropping down to 10mp has been fine since the prints aren't massive. Anyone is free to criticize the prints but since it's just a hobby I'd direct them out my door lol.
We're afraid to buy the 6 because as soon as we buy the 6 the seven will come out. Then when we buy the 7 the eight will come out

I love them pushing the upgrades, sad at times how they protect their lineup, but I get it. Can't wait to see what they do in the A1 III it's going to be digusting.
