Honestly, it's a good idea for kids 😂 In my youth, the first thing I was asked when I had a question was if I tried to figure it out myself. Mom would watch me do the maths or look stuff up in the encyclopedia. Hell, the woman would have me go to the library to get the book I needed to answer my question, even if she knew the answer 😂 It honestly gave me confidence to seek information on my own. A good soft skill.

For real though, phrasing TCG strats as beneficial to mathmatics was how I got my mom to buy me so much yu-gi-oh and pokemon cards. I was doing more math, than before, because I wanted to be better at planning my strats, same with IV's and EV's in pokemon.
