This is why in a Persian family you announce departure at least 2 to 3 hours in advance. We do the same thing. Takes literally forever to leave!!!

Omg so true! It takes half hour just to say goodbye and finally if you make it to the door another half hour there and then they go outside all the way to your car and another half hour 😅

In Iran is the same, we do not say "Ma-a salam" we say "Khoda Hafez". Khoda means God. "Khoda Hafez" means God keep you safe
