So stage Elphaba is genuinely fed up with everyone treating her like a freak for her green skin while movie Elphaba is just perpetually *done* with everyone? Huh. I kinda wanna see the original play now to see what was changed in the film.

I love this version because it FINALLY feels like her father had a reason to pull her back. In her more collected representations her father's dialogue felt out-of-place and not situationally appropriate.

i feel like this is a better set up for her character, a character who is mischaracterized as mean and evil, when in reality, her crashouts are totally valid.

Poor elphaba, I wouldn't be reacting the way that everyone else did
