This Abandoned John Deere Rescue Gets Worse

Autos and Vehicles

We finally get to work on the 1997 John Deere 650G direct-drive dozer we pulled out of Eastern Kentucky. It’s been sitting for years, and the previous owner removed the lift cylinders to rebuild them right before he passed away, leaving the parts completely missing. Today, we are installing brand new aftermarket complete cylinders, doing a full fluid and filter change (engine, transmission, and winch), and tackling a broken track adjuster rod that’s completely shot. Once we get the track chained up and the new adjuster seals pressed in, we take the 650G out to push some serious dirt and see if the transmission holds up. 0:00 Missing Dozer Parts & The Plan 1:51 Removing the Old Cylinders 7:40 Installing New Tilt Cylinders 11:37 Firing It Up & Testing the Blade 14:15 Finding the Broken Track Adjuster 24:37 Draining Fluids & Changing Filters 34:03 Rebuilding the Track Adjuster 36:26 650G Dozer Test Drive & Pushing Dirt 38:23 Final Inspection & Future Fixes Emails [email protected] [email protected] Equipment and attachments www.ccsurplus.com Parts www.ccsurplusparts.com #JohnDeere #HeavyEquipment #DozerRepair #equipmentauction
