Nature’s Cruelest Trap: The Man Permanently Sealed Inside a Mountain πŸ§— Be one of our first 100,000! It’s a small step for you, but a huge help for us. Thank you so much for the support! πŸ™ In November 2009, 26-year-old medical student John Edward Jones experienced the ultimate claustrophobic nightmare in Utah's Nutty Putty Cave. While navigating the treacherous cavern with his brother, John took a wrong turn into an unmapped, progressively narrowing section. Attempting to turn around, he slipped and became hopelessly wedged upside-down in a crevice measuring just 10 by 18 inches. Trapped at a steep 70-degree downward angle, human anatomy worked against him. Over 27 agonizing hours, gravity forced blood and fluid to pool in his brain and lungs, requiring his heart to work at over 200% capacity. Tragically, a stone arch holding the rescue pulley system shattered under the strain, dropping him back into the fissure. The sheer physical shock caused cardiac arrest. Deemed too dangerous to retrieve, his body was left inside, and the cave was permanently sealed with concrete. I don't like this story. I've never liked from the 1st time I heard it from Mr Ballen years ago. This is a very stressful story. πŸ˜
