121 - California Homeless Crisis 2026: Extreme Weather & Fentanyl Escalate the Crisis | Documentary California’s homelessness crisis is entering a dangerous new phase in 2026. Extreme heat waves, powerful winter storms, and the growing fentanyl epidemic are intensifying pressure on vulnerable communities across the state. In this documentary from US HOMELESS STORIES, we examine how climate extremes and addiction are accelerating displacement in cities from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Encampment sweeps continue while shelters remain overwhelmed. Rising housing costs, untreated substance dependency, and economic instability leave thousands without stable options. As extreme weather events increase, life without shelter becomes even more life-threatening. Through on-the-ground footage and real street perspectives, this film exposes how California reflects a broader national crisis unfolding across the United States. 📍 Question For You : Are current policies addressing the root causes — or deepening the crisis? 👉 Don’t forget to subscribe to https://www.youtube.com/@naraliiee 📌 TIME LINE : 00:00 homelss in america 01:40 1. If I wanted to be homeless I’d go to So Cal despite their “severe “ 75 deg sunny weathe lol.
You need to call all homeless and build a home all together
Its 2026 I dont trust anyone let alone a convict. Ex or not
This is not great. Meanwhile! The approximate one trillion (1,000,000,000,000) dollar a year "Defence" business machine marches on. No one is coming to help these US people. Everyone in this country should have a roof over their head, a bed, a toilet, a shower, a place to iron a shirt, from a tax payer/paid safety net. Could they shave a modest 10% of the trillion dollar defence budget per year? That would = 100 Billion per year. Could they tax the wealthy more? Then America might be great again.
Homelessness is highest in California because we have the pilot programs and the programs that do the most most for homeless people people. Homeless people people do everything they can to get to California because they know they’ll get better treatment to help them than anywhere in the United States or the world!
He's trying to say 90% of homeless people are drug users That's pretty ridiculous man That's not the truth at all I've stayed at a homeless shelter I would say it's around 10% that are under the influence of a controlled substance or alcohol at any time
